Leading The Way In Post Consumer Recycling

Recycling advice 'on film'
3rd November 2008

Leading PVC-U recycler Dekura has launched a new film on its website to act as a simple guide to the company’s unique recycling and waste management service.

The five minute film which is available at www.dekura.co.uk shows the whole recycling process from beginning to end and also examines how recycling PVC-U waste, which includes factory off-cuts, can lead to crucial savings on skip hire and landfill tax.

Dekura is at the forefront of PVC-U recycling innovation and provides a comprehensive recycling service for all post-industrial PVC-U waste. The company is fully committed to its environmental responsibilities and is also a signatory to Vinyl 2010.

Tony Moore, general manager, Dekura, said: “With new Government targets to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill there is now increasing pressure on the industry to recycle and manage its PVC-U waste.

“This means it is now critical for fabricators to tackle the way they manage and dispose of the waste PVC-U they are generating and Dekura can support them with this process.

“Dekura offers a simple and reliable waste management and recycling service which not only improves environmental credentials but can also help to save money as well.”

With new waste management legislation introduced in the spring, recycling has become increasingly fundamental, particularly within the construction industry, which is responsible for a large proportion of landfill waste.

This strict new legislation is already filtering down to fabricators and installers who are finding that more and more, winning new business is being determined by their environmental performance.

Tony added: “Dekura’s recycling service couldn’t be simpler. We supply fabricators with recycling cages and when they are filled up with PVC-U waste Dekura collects them at a time to suit our customers’ individual needs.

“The new film is an excellent guide to this efficient service as it shows how Dekura can help fabricators get the best deal out of recycling as well as promote the opportunities available to them to minimise the amount of waste being produced.”
